PPL – Private Pilot License

The Private Pilot License allows you the freedom of flight. You are able to fly to places in one hour that might ordinarily take you 6 hours to drive and have an incredible experience along the way. Our excellent training manuals, aircraft training, and ground school programs make it easy and fun.

Private Pilot Training

Standardization of training has always been the key to a flight schools success.  Much of this is due to training in accordance with our excellent training manuals.  These manuals are designed to be simple, effective, and easy to read.  They go a long way to increase your confidence and make your training an enjoyable experience.

Private Pilot License Upgrades The PPL is also a prerequisite for the Commercial Pilot License.

PPL Prerequisites

  • 17 Years of age.
  • A medical from a hospital recognized by Civil Aviation Authority.

PPL Requirements

A minimum of 45 hours of flight training including:

  • 17 hours dual, including 5 hours Instrument Training,
  • 3 hours cross-country
  • 12 hours solo , including 5 hours X-country
  • A minimum of 40 hours ground school (including instruction on Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, and General Knowledge.)
  • A Transport Written Test is also required.

What is the Course Duration?

Training is at the student’s pace and convenience. The course will take 10 weeks if full time, 5 months if part time (3 lessons a week).

Uses of a Private Pilot License

You will train at Alajnihah Air Academy and Zuara Airport.  There are lots of things you can do with a Private Pilot License. You have freedom to travel without the problems of land transport.  Queues, pollution, not to mention the amount of time it takes.  Now in one hour you can be at your destination which by car would have taken an all day trip.
